"THE THREAT OF INVASIVE SPECIES BY JENNIFER KLOS" reaction

In this video, "The threat of invasive species" by Jennifer Klos, it shows the danger that invasive species can bring to an ecosystem. Once a particular specie is introduced to a new ecosystem, the entire balance of the system disrupts because that specie isn't accustomed to live in that certain habitat.

In the Philippines, we too have some invasive species mostly introduced to us by our colonizers. Some of these species are the janitor fish,

the golden apple snail,

and many more.

The Philippines is a country rich in natural resources. If more invasive species are introduced into our ecosystem, nature's balance will be unstable and our country won't be the same anymore.

In the geographic view, our country, the Philippines, is an archipelago. We have numerous ecosystems and if ever an invasive specie will be introduced, it will only affect that particular ecosystem and not all the ecosystems found in our country.
Philippines is also not that commercialized compared to other countries and most of the Filipinos rely on farming or fishing or livestock industries to make a living. Their lives depend on the balance of the ecosystem. If ever an invasive specie is introduced accidentally or not, they will find a way to get rid of it or make of use of it so that the ecosystem will find its equilibrium and their lives will be easier.
